Thank God for new beginnings and renewal.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
This Scripture tells us what takes place when a person is born again, by receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. The “inward man” (spirit) of the person is made righteous and new by God. This is a miraculous new beginning for the Christian.
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
Daily, the power of God is at work in the Christian’s spirit.
Having been given the gift of salvation, the child of God is called to walk (live) as a righteous Christian. The Christian is capable of living a holy life, and rejecting sinful ways, because they have a new, righteous spirit and the provision of God’s help and strength.
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)
Daily, the compassion of God is available to help you. God wants us to place ourselves in His hands completely. He is a good God and a good Father. He knows how to take care of His children.
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22, 23).
